Vanderveer Elementary School Entrance Canopy

DeSapio Construction, Inc. was contracted to replace the existing entrance canopy and sidewalks at the main entrance. The project included the demolition of the existing concrete sidewalks and installation of a new prefabricated aluminum canopy system for the Somerville Board of Education. Typically, projects similar to this one are completed during the summer to avoid interference. However, due to delays and complications with the approval of the project, the project was slated to begin in September.

DeSapio Construction took special care to allow for a safe drop-off and pickup of the elementary school students, faculty, and staff. The project was completed within the allotted timeframe, with careful attention to pedestrian safety throughout.
