The construction of the 12,000 square foot addition to East Amwell Elementary School began in October of 2017. DeSapio Construction, Inc. worked diligently through the winter to construct new 3rd grade classrooms, along with new classrooms for the speech specialists.
Alterations to the existing school building were completed during the summer of 2018 with all areas opened in time for the first day of school, September 2018. In addition to the building construction, the project’s scope consisted of extensive site work, including a new sewage disposal system, storm water management system, and demolition of four temporary classroom units.
The project was completed in 10 months and did not interrupt any school activities.
